The snow is so lovely at the minute and makes everything look beautiful. This is the view from my room in Halls. I would like to incorporate the snow into a video of my journey home.

Experimentation.
I experimented firstly by filming my journey home to Belfast.
This experimentation wasn't very successful as it was night-time... I thought the lights might look good rushing past the window but it didn't really have the desired effect.

Perhaps I would be better re-shooting this during the day, so the screen glare of my laptop won't be seen. (I was using the video camera on my mac).
Setting the scene:
Mid-afternoon/dusk.
Snowfall on the ground.
Camera starts by focusing on my face, then pans around to the window to observe my journey home.
Road signs, traffic lights, cars, fences, and houses all zoom past the window in a blur of white.
Storyboarding... a few of my sketches.

'The view from my window'.

I like the idea of creating a video of something I see everyday- such as the view form my window at home, my journey to Derry everyday through the window of the bus, the journey home to Belfast, the walk around university etc.

Ballet.
I have always wanted to somehow incorporate Ballet into one of my animations, as I think it is such a beautiful form of dance and lends itself to many interpretations re:animation. The idea of a Ballerina spinning round in slow motion, then speeding up spinning faster and faster could be a great concept for a moving image piece, perhaps hand-drawn in pencil on intricate paper, or rotoscoped using a graphics tablet, to some interesting music. It also leads itself nicely into a transformation? i.e. ducklings into swans, Swan Lake etc etc.

Ballet Animation.
I love the simple hand-drawn sketching of this animation.

Cuarteto de Nos
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9LlnLTH87U
I really like this video. I'm not a huge fan of the song, but I like the style of the video, it kind of reminfs me of the opening credits to the TV show 'Mad Men', with the silhouetted people.

Typography in Motion
In most designs typography is used to present information in a rather static way — after all, it has to be read by users. However, it doesn’t have to be like this. What effects can be achieved if typography is set in motion? What happens if letters are suddenly floating, jumping and dancing around while sentences are actually interacting with the readers?
The music videos by Spanish Uruguayan band Cuarteto de Nos are mostly based on Typography.

Shaving by hand
A very clever use of stop-motion:

Human Tetris
One of the videos featured in the Smashing Magazine's top 50 most incredible stop-motion videos is this Human Tetris one, which I think is brilliant and so original. It actually does look like they are playing tetris and the music in the background is perfect.

Banksy recreates Simpsons title
Just thought this was pretty cool! An interesting twist in a classic opening sequence.

Paris by Light
Sticking to a similar graffitti style, this video is created in Paris using light graffitti. I think it's quite an excited video and doesn't look too hard to recreate.

BLU
Another example of BLU's work:
I really like his work; it is fun and quirky and all he is doing really is painting his own artwork onto buildings and turning them into amazing animations.
BLU
I was looking at the work of BLU, a Spanish artist, (rather like Banksy) who uses graffitti as his basis for stop motion animation. Here is an example of his work:
